The name Roots Door Company holds a special significance for us.
Firstly, we believe that your front door is a fundamental element of your home. It's the first impression, the welcoming embrace, and the beginning of every experience within your intentional space. Just as roots are essential to a tree, your front door is essential to the character and warmth of your home.
Secondly, the name reflects the deep roots we feel towards our family and community.
Kam, the 9th generation of our family to call Utah home, carries forward a legacy of craftsmanship and connection that has been nurtured for centuries. Our doors are more than just entries; they are a testament to the roots that bind us to our heritage and to you, our valued customer.
While Kam and Kurt manage the day-to-day operations, our wider family of 19 can often be seen sweeping the floors or running around the shop as Grandpa and Uncle finish a project. It’s a true family affair, with everyone pitching in to ensure that each door we create is a masterpiece.
In addition to our family, we have a fantastic team of skilled craftsmen who assist in manufacturing and shipping your doors. Their expertise and commitment ensure that every product meets the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
